Sadly we were beaten by a very experienced Victoria Park 'A' team, we had a winner and scored 99 points which is not bad with a team comprising of a couple of novices to league games. Everyone gave a good account of themselves, with some decent scoring and we are eager to keep the team going and looking forward to improve in the future.

Our next match is away at Crossens BC on Monday 23 April and has a 6.15 start to ensure light is not too bad for last games.

On Tuesday, the first of the season’s Round Robins was supported with over 32 players and many spectators too. It was a great way to start the season with both greens in good condition although a bit soft from the overnight rain. Both greens are now open for play.

It was decided at the Committee Meeting today to move the new season's first Round Robin back one week to the 27th March.
The grass will not start to grow again properly until the temperature reaches 10 degrees C. This is unlikely to happen in time for an opening on the 20th March. The greens have also been treated and don't look great for this ...
