About Us

Founded in 1899, we are one of the oldest crown green bowling clubs in Southport and well established with excellent facilities.

We have two large bowling greens that are well maintained during the bowling season by volunteer members.

The Club has about 150 members who enjoy an active social and bowling programme. The Club has a recently-modernised pavilion with tea-making and toilet facilities plus a convenient car park for members use.

The Club enters fifteen teams (ladies, gents and mixed teams) in local bowling leagues and has organised social bowling on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons.  During the Winter months there is social indoor bowling and Winter league pairs bowling on a Saturday afternoon.

We also organise several club trophy and social bowling competitions during the season open to all members.

We have a reputation for being a very friendly and welcoming club; with social membership available for those seeking friendship rather than competition.

Registered as a Community Amateur Sports Club, our main purpose is to provide facilities for, and promote participation in, crown green bowling for the whole community irrespective of age, gender, religion, race or ability.

For the new bowler or those a little out of practice we hold regular social bowling sessions throughout the year.

The club also hosts the hotly contested crown green bowls competition which is a feature of the Southport Flower Show

All the family can play Crown Green Bowls, from grandchildren to grandparents and it is a great way for making new friends.
It is a non-contact sport which is enjoyed by all.

Victoria Park Bowling Club is a registered Community Amateur Sports Club. (CASC Ref CH10135)
