Doreen on TOP form to win Bottomley Cup

The year’s first Club Competition – a mixed singles handicap for the  Bottomley cup –  – was held on 29th April (they are all held on the last Saturday of the month). It was also the first organised by our Secretary Andy Muchall.
24  members,  7 ladies & 17 men ranging from beginners to A-teamers  were involved and  both greens were in use. The handicap system proved popular.

The Main Competition was won by Doreen Morrell, runner up Dave Edwards. Losing semi- finalists were Harry Bullen & Ted Morrell. The Consolation Competition (for first round losers) and shield was won by Andy Muchall, runner up Deborah Herold.

Thanks to Ralph Simpson for much improved second green, Andy for great organisation & Sue Mountford for refreshments.
