Please use the Paddock for parking this weekend (29/30 July) There is a caravan rally in Victoria Park which means the Park is closed to the general public.
The combination padlocks on Victoria Park gates are back in use - please contact Ted if you need the code.

There is very definitely no access to the park at all now until 25th July.

This decision came after further discussions between Southport Flower Show (SFS) and the PGA (Open Golf) after yesterday's events.

The club has been informed this morning (11th July) that all parking at Victoria Park has been commandeered for the Open Golf competition.
The greens remain open but all opposing captains in all leagues need informing that parking at Victoria Park for all matches is closed for the duration of the Open Golf.

Last Saturday's Pairs competition attracted 30 members. Weather was good and both greens played well.
The main competition was won by Ted Morrell & new member Leon Morris who beat Judy Muchall & Burt Barwise in the final.
The consolation final was won by Di Banahan & Dave Gordon who beat Betty Hunter & Mark Eustace.

Here are a few pics from Saturday's Croquet and Bowling day, which was a huge success.
We started the day at the croquet club where we were made very welcome. We all played a game of croquet.
For the afternoon we all went to the bowling club house for lunch and then on to the two greens for the bowling.
