Car Parking Update

There is no access either to our car park or to the “paddock”.

This decision came after further discussions between Southport Flower Show (SFS) and the PGA (Open Golf) after yesterday’s events.

The PGA have a firm contract with SFS who very much need the income which all the events on the Park bring.

VPBC pay a very modest rent to SFS, a fact which was very firmly confirmed by the SFS Office to Ted yesterday afternoon.

They also commented on certain members’ refusal to keep off the VPBC car park and for aggressive, unhelpful comments made to SFS employees.

Members should be aware that we really need to maintain our good relationship with the SFS who are very supportive of us.

I will send out another e-mail when restrictions are lifted.
They are expected to last until Tuesday 25th July.

NB  BOTH GREENS WILL BE OPEN DURING THESE 2 WEEKS AND ACCESS TO VICTORIA PARK FOR MEMBERS IS ONLY VIA THE GATE OPPOSITE MORRISON’S.

NB The combination lock on “lake gate” is not now in place.

PARKING FOR 3 HOURS IN MORRISONS IS AVAILABLE FOR SHOPPERS BUT YOU MUST PAY IF YOUR STAY IS LONGER AND CONFORM TO MORRISON’S
