VPBC ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Your committee has been busy

We do hope that most of the 48 new 2018 members will attend the AGM as well as existing members. We will try to make this as short, lively and as enjoyable as possible. Please arrive at 10.00 for a prompt 10.30 start so you have time to enjoy tea or coffee and pay your £45 sub and buy Raffle Tickets.

All thirteen team captains & vice captains will be present armed with their team sheets hoping to finalise their squads for the season. League matches will start in April, fixtures will be posted to the club website.

As well as Elections, Reports and Presentations this year it will be possible to buy or order VPBC shirts, fleeces or caps.

The new Social Sub Committee, co-chaired by Noreen Lewis and Lynne Lancaster, has been active during the winter season and is now concentrating upon events at VPBC. They welcome suggestions and offers of help.

Andy and Judy Muchall are getting together with Sue Mountford and Paul Lancaster to plan this year’s club competitions etc. These will mainly be on the last Saturday of every month and will be organised so that they can be enjoyed by all. Plans will be outlined at the AGM.

YOUR COMMITTEE ARE AIMING FOR A BALANCE BETWEEN SOCIAL BOWLING FOR ENJOYMENT AND LEAGUE TEAM BOWLING FOR THE MORE COMPETITIVE.

EVENTS AT YOUR CLUB THIS MONTH

* Short Mat bowling at The Dunes Wednesdays 1:00 p.m.

* Cards/Games and Social – The Pavilion Tuesdays 12:00 – 3:00

* Mixed Teams continue at Formby ‘Tin Tab’ every Saturday

* A ten-pin bowling session at Southport’s Premier Bowl for 24 folk has been booked on Thursday 31 January. For details, please contact Noreen
