Winter Green now CLOSED
A meeting of your Greens Committee together with staff from Victoria Park took place today (21st November) . A number of issues were discussed, and the committee have reluctantly decided to close the Number 2 Green until January, when the situation regarding the Green will be reviewed.
In the meantime Victoria Park staff have agreed to investigate the possible collapse or blockage of drains under the greens, and to lower the level of the Duck-pond/Lake to allow the currently sodden green to drain. Once the green has stabilised we will be swishing the green regularly and removing excess soil from the surface. Hopefully the condition of the green will improve enough for Winter Bowling in the New Year.
