Chairman’s Newsletter (May 2018)

Hello all Members,

We’re having lovely weather at last and the forecast for the rest of May looks very promising. We all must make the most of it!

The programme of league matches, competitions and social bowling is now in full swing.

Round Robins

The dates of the social Round Robin events for the rest of May are as follows:

Tuesdays 8, 15, 22, 29 May
Saturday 19 May
Sundays 13, 27 May

These friendly social bowling events are especially suitable for newer members. Please arrive by 1.15pm for a 1.30pm start.

Entry fee is £1 which includes tea/coffee. Small prizes are given for the top scorers.

Bowling Tuition

Fred Douglas has held several successful Friday morning TUITION sessions.

The last of the present series will be this Friday 11 May. Please arrive no later than 10.15am for a prompt 10.30am start. Places are limited. Please ring Fred on 01704.213415 or 07979.626213 to book a place.

Bowling Competitions

A charity bowling competition will be held on Saturday, 12 May, starting at 11.00am. The entry list is now full.

A club bowling competition is planned for Saturday, 26 May. Details and an entry list will be posted on the club noticeboard soon.

The Committee have arranged a wide variety of events for the bowling programme. We hope it will suit both experienced and new members.

Please let me have any comments or further suggestions on the programme by reply to this email or speak to me at the club.

The Committee are seeking additional members to join them and assist in the running of the club.. In particular, I would like a ‘New Member’ representative to join us on the Committee. Please speak to me if you are interested and would like more information.
