Mixed Pairs Competition Results June 2017
Last Saturday’s Pairs competition attracted 30 members. Weather was good and both greens played well.
The main competition was won by Ted Morrell & new member Leon Morris who beat Judy Muchall & Burt Barwise in the final.
The consolation final was won by Di Banahan & Dave Gordon who beat Betty Hunter & Mark Eustace.
Thanks to Andy Muchall for great organisation and Judy Muchall for lovely cream scones.

I hadn’t realised the importance of a game that I volunteered to play on Saturday was going to count as a tie-breaker for winning the club cup, so apologies to you all, not only for losing but for playing the game anyway when it should have been a much stronger player and in a more worthy position than myself.

Debbie, you have no need to apologise to anyone. It was a fun day and the overall result was totally insignificant. If anyone should take blame it should be me for disappearing without registering my singles win on the scoreboard. David G
