End of season report – Parks B Team (Monday evening)

The team had a great season winning 12 of our 16 matches, finishing a comfortable second to a very strong London BC team. We lost to them in the Challenge Cup Final too.
NB We have asked the League if we could decline promotion so we can stay a Monday evening team.(Most of  squad cannot make Thursdays). Watch this space.
The individual performance table is available on club website but special congratulations go to Bryan Singleton who won all his league matches. A great and rare achievement.

A key factor in building & maintaining a friendly team spirit and high performance levels has been the keen support of our ladies – Pat, Noreen, Sue, Margaret & Doreen.
I am personally going to miss long distance calls from Morris Cunliffe and am glad he is now be able to enjoy normal meal times on Monday evenings for a while.

This is my first year as captain and I was glad of the strong support of the squad, even when not selected. Dave Caunce was a great vice captain and Bryan was a good encourager- he had captained this team for many years.
