VPBC Newsletter – 30 Mar 2018

Dear VPBC members,
On Tuesday, the first of the season’s Round Robins was supported with over 32 players and many spectators too. It was a great way to start the season with both greens in good condition although a bit soft from the overnight rain. Both greens are now open for play.

The Round Robin social bowling sessions will now continue through the season, weather permitting, on a TUESDAY and SATURDAYafternoon. Please come along and register by 1.15pm for a 1.30pm start.

In response to may requests, we are also commencing SUNDAY Social bowling at 1.30pm for a 2.00pm start. Please come along for a bowl and friendly chat, or just some practice on your own!

Sadly, the poor weather forecast has forced us to call off the Easter Monday event.
Next week the League fixtures start (all fixtures are easily found on our website) and spectators are warmly invited. New members will I am sure find matches an interesting,  informative and enjoyable experience.  As we have two greens, it is of course always possible to play on the second green.

The Pavilion is also looking wonderful and the facilities are excellent. However, donations are still needed to cover the cost of this huge transformation, one that’s much bigger than planned at the start, and I do hope you will give it your financial support. Please put your donation in the pavilion Donations Box or click on the link below to donate on-line where, if you are a tax payer, the government will add 25p to every £ you donate with Gift Aid.
